Antique Singer Sewing Machine!!

I can barely type because I am so excited about what I bought. Yesterday I went to an estate sale near my house and instantly fell in love with what I found in the basement. It was an antique Singer sewing machine.

The Original asking price for this beauty was $75, which was kind of out of my price limit, but still a good deal. After some thought the sales person made an offer of $40 to keep the sale going because they were about to close the estate sale. I would have been stupid not to accept that stupidly cheap price for that beautiful sewing machine.

I have to admit the condition isn't the greatest, but I'm sure that with a tiny bit of restoration it will be perfect.

As far as I can tell the sewing machine still works. My siblings took turns all morning playing with it. It is really fun and satisfying to use the foot petal and see it actually work.
My sister Maria wanted to demonstrate for all of you, but the picture is kind of blurry :)
Here is a video from my instagram of my little sister demonstrating.

This is one of my favorite antique finds yet. I am so lucky to have found  this.

I don't know what I will be using is for yet, but I am glad that I was the one who purchased it, and not someone who was going to destroy it and turn it into a sink, or chair, or anything like that.
Love,
Theresa
